As I was trying to assemble my niece's MTH freight train, I found a greater problem assembling the MTH Real Trax, that has the plastic,ballasted roadbed, than with the Scale Trax. Any suggestions, please.

It can be difficult. i looked at the video and that is pretty much how I put it together. After doing it for a few Christmases, it gets easier. That said, some sections are just tougher than others. ry different pieces, when a particular section doesn't want to mate.
Thanks Mort and Marty for your advice. The MTH video was helpful.
I will add one note, I tilt the second piece of track up more then the video shows, it seems to help the really tough ones go together with less effort.
And Marty is right, they get easier with use.
If someday they get too easy and start separating, use the clips MTH sells, they are very good at securing the track together.
