NP 0-6-0 number 924 (Rogers, 1899) steamed for the public for the first time at Snoqualmie, WA for their "railroad days" event this past Saturday.
She needs more work and some paint, but she seemed to be steaming pretty well.

See the holes in the side of the smokebox, two of them directly under the rear station holding the horizontal grab along the firebox? I assume that's the mounting holes for the builders plate as Rogers usually had them about that size and shape. It was funny to watch exhaust pumping out of those holes during exhaust cycles...
It's hard to tell in the shots, but that headlight is LED. It was obvious even at a distance as it was coming. I get why they did it, but I have to admit it looked odd to me anyway. Oh well, not my engine, right?
Can't wait to see this engine all finished. It's just so sad that this county was only in phase two of the pandemic recovery so they won't be running trains for a very long time for the public.
