Has anyone made an 0-82 figure 8? I plan to suspend this from my ceiling, so it must be a single track one level design with a cross-over. I don't want to over complicate things with switches and grades and I'm trying to figure out what pieces would be needed if I used MTH Realtrax...... I already have a suspended On30 track and it works /looks great, so I am looking to build something else

Why not use Ross 0-80 or 0-84? You'll have more crossover options/angles for your figure eight with Ross.
Just my two cents. I'd like to see how it turns out. I've always been interested in suspended layouts but have never done one.
I've used easy track/fast track design on my other layouts and found them easy to use and troublefree. My other layouts are On30, HO, N and z gauge....this is my first foray into O gauge. Is there an advantage to using Ross vs other vendors, besides selection of pieces?

Or with a 90 degree cross over. This one requires 7" straight (2 x 3.5") on each leg of the cross over.

Hey, thanks for the diagrams. I appreciate the help....will look it over and make a decision
How long are the other straight peices? Are they 10"?

The other straights are 30"
I would recommend Fastrack over Realtrax, although I've never used Ross track, which looks more realistic, but, if the layout is suspended you're not going to see the track anyway. Fastrack is a lot more reliable than Realtrax.
