Installed a Marx drive in a toy Toby. Just need to add the original sound unit and headlight.
Not such if the race car speed was from the engineer or the Marx motor.

Fast mover maybe the curves should be super elevated.

Heh, not bad.
Though I've never seen Toby go faster than Gordon.
How many volts does it have and will you put couplers on? Other than that it looks great.

YEE HAW! Look at that box on wheels GO!!! That must be an old Marx 666 motor. It sure runs like a bat of, um, the bad place!
Do you have any weight in the body shell? If not you might want to add some.
Nice job, Rich, I like it a lot.
It is really fast, and looks like a useful engine to me - that is unless the engineer "helps" to jump it off the tracks and you have to get Kevin the Crane to fetch him back.
Have fun with it.

My 666 can still go like a bat out a bad place.
It tortures the dumb cat (Samantha) at Christmas time.

What type of Toby toy is that? I might want to do something similar

pretty slick! Those 666 motors are rockets.
Sounds like a Jeff Foxworthy bit about 3-rail:
If your trains are outrunning your slot cars, you might be running too fast!
I modified mine with an industrial Rail hand car chassis. Runs reasonably slow.
