Hello everyone. This summer has been incredibly busy as I usually switch from train mode to airplane mode as I hit the airshow circuit on my days off flying a Douglas DC-4/C-54 at airshows for the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation. I finally have had a stretch of days off to spend around the railroad and I am happy to post a few photos from some recent work that I have finished. I have recently purchased two MTH Rail king Montour SW9s and a caboose. Needless to say they have been weathered and our part of my "Heritage" fleet of locomotives on my modern W&LE railroad. So here are some pictures. Enjoy.

Wheeling45,
Your layout is fabulous! The scenery is some of the best I've ever seen, so realistic.
I have a Montour caboose on my to build list now although I am lettering it for my own road. It is one of the quaint woodside cabs.
Your weathering is great too.

I have never seen better workmanship or artistic talent in all my years in the hobby. Steve
I live in Medina Ohio and the Wheeling and Lake Erie comes through here.Yours looks just like it.Very nice.Nick
Outstanding!
The Montour is one of my favorites, both to model and ride the bike trail. Thank you for posting the wonderful pictures. I also, (as Malcomb mentioned), have a Montour Caboose project that has yet to get completed. Surprisingly after all these years, the W&LE has rails again on old Montour bike trail/right-of-way to the Westland spur, now with a tank car yard for collection of Marcellus Shale Gas.
One of the most realistic photos ever posted on the Forum.

Ditto. Beautifully done scenery. Your weathering looks great.
Excellent work! I get to see the W&LE regularly; My office is walking distance from the Glenwillow [Ohio] depot.
And on the subject of C54's, we had one at our air base along with many older pilots who did fly the Berlin Air Lift [many Colonels wearing the Air Medal]. That plane was a fun ride. Must add: many years ago.

That's a great looking layout you have which is made more so by the fact you model a lesser known line.
Thanks for sharing!
