Anyone have one, saved it?

I bought mine used, back in the Seventies. It makes for interesting reading, but I don't know as I'd call it the "O scale Bible."
I still have my original version, plus the repro we issued from Greenberg Publishing.
While not exactly a "bible", it sure was a close second when it came to inspiring a young boy like me (at the time, of course) to get hooked on Lionel trains for what has become a lifetime. I that repeat, it sure did what it was intended to do.
I have several editions of this book. Fun reading from time to time.
It inspired dreams in me, of a layout so large, my folks would have to build additions onto the farm house.
Still have mine in the drawer below my control panel on my layout. I had to glue the cover on again I read it so much. That was my first real book of my own and my father got it for me when I was sick in bed at 10 years old. It still has that Lionel train smell, like the old Lionel boxes.

I like that book, but to me, the book I can't do without is the Greenberg Lionel repair manual 1945-1969.
I read the Bantam book, and have a few different versions stashed somewhere.
I think the model railroading books by Louis Hertz had more influence on me.
And lets not forget "The Boys Book of Model Railroading" by Raymond Yates.

I am trying to find this book on the web, but it is a tough one to search because of the common title. Do you have a link or ISBN # for the reproduction?
Thanks!
Mark
I looked through mine so much the binding disintegrated and the pages fell apart. Great little book that caused many dreams
I have one my Dad had. Mine looks exactly the same as the one you pictured in your links. I think there were later, updated ones with different covers. My Dad had this one from as far back as I can remember, which is around 1953. Its old and I really don't use it much in deference to its rather brittle paper condition.
Thanks!
Mark
Sure thing! The Greenberg reprint I have ("Fifth Big New Edition") is 0-89778-178-3. Includes an intro by Richard Kughn.
