I want to add a short COG RR to my O scale layout but am having no luck finding any engines or track parts/accessories. Does anyone know of a source?

Have you tried MTH or Weaver or Lionel, as one of the major companies might produce something in cog railways.
Anyway, cog railways are not the mainline run anymore and you may have to even go to ebay or www.choochooauctions.com to find something. Another good place to look is at train shows or sales.
A little FYI, Pennsylvania RR used a cog line on a steap hill near Reading PA called Mount Penn, sometime around the 1930's, if I have the time correct.

Do an 'Advanced Search' on the Forum for "rack loco" for a short summary of 0 scale but narrow gauge/European prototype [ more or less ] items that have been made; this is the only stuff that, while not in current production, is generally available as these things go.

Fama/MRC/Roco made the only O scale cog railway equipment I know of. It was of Swiss prototype.
