Amy and I will be setting up an the Indy National tonight. Please stop by on Friday and Saturday and say hi at The O Scale Resource magazine table.
I am looking forward to seeing just what these 1000's of brass models may be that Jim announced. Pix at 11 ;-)

We're there and the tension is building... the hall is getting in order and the name badges are being assembled for the onslaught at 5...
Lots of happy faces so far and it hasn't even started yet!
Is this show worth going to? Vendor list on the website wasn't updated...
I know P&D and Des Plaines are there.

I didn't take any photos but just got home from the show. Had a good time and met some real nice folks.
Bought a lot of detail parts for a project.
Wish I had time to go to the layout tours today.
There is a banner ad at the top of the page.
Or go here. Goes to the same place.
John,
Primarily a 2R show. Open to Public, $25 for both days. Wyndham Hotel, on Executive Drive.

These need to happen every few months!
Whether O scale West, the Chicago March Meet, Indy or the Rich Yoder/John Dunn meets at Strasburg these things are fun. WELL worth the drive if you can make it.
I can't make the layout tours but I've been wanting to see Warner Clarke's RR.. and I hope some day to see some of the western layouts that are a-building.

It sure was! There were some beautiful locomotives/rolling stock/buildings there. I saw my first Key and Koh's models firsthand. Stunning stuff.
I had to really think about buying a 3 stack FEF #839! Barely talked myself out of it. Still may give in!
Really wanted to see Warner Clark's layout but didn't have time. It's local, so I may try again soon.
Great time, well worth the admission.
He's so awesome.
Those PRR E7's are nice. I would buy them if I were an eastern guy.
Not that I saw but I will head in and give another once over. Doesn't it fail that not long ago you couldn't go 10 feet at an O scale show without seeing one... now I can't recall seeing any lately.

What was the Friday attendance like besides the usual table holders?

I didn't see any either. None of the big boys had them nor any individual sellers.
What was the Friday attendance like besides the usual table holders?
We arrived at the door at 9am on Friday start time) - there were already a few folks inside the hall and maybe 4-5 in the lobby milling about. 2 people ahead of us in line.
Most folks were commenting that attendance was down from years past.

Did not attend this year or prior as the last few the attendance was sparse at best. Not sure it was a 1/3 of the March Meet. Sadly when all costs added in not worth it for us. Hope those that did attend had a great time. No pictures anyone?
More pictures please.
More pictures please.
We're too busy unpacking our dozens of C&LS locos and Pacific Limited cars that we bought to post pictures, lol!!!

The C&LS WM 4-8-4 is one of the finest models produced to date. And they are selling at a discount at shows. Wise to snap one up while still available!
I can't understand why people are complaining about the show. I just talked to one hobby shop that was there and said it was a great show PLUS he said Bill Davis had 32 tables full of brass and was selling at reasonable prices...............go figure.
Wish I had been there.

Bill Davis had tons of Champ decals and while they may not always be the best and most accurate, for those of us who roll our own they are sometimes the ONLY source for things such as heralds or road name sets.
The show was a bit light on premium brass models but then again much of that stuff goes on eBay or gets gobbled up by a few people since it's in demand... and there WERE some things there that were rare and they did get gobbled up.
No hate here, it ain't the biggest or best but it is FAR from the worst.

Define reasonable prices,If I was going to a show with an open checkbook and a want list, as long as all the tables were sold out the "gate" would not be important, the less buyers to compete against the better. On the other hand a large gate is a big plus for table holders, more potential customers to sell their products to. Obviously for the people running the meet all tables sold and a large"gate" is the ideal situation, poor attendance will eventually kill any meet.JMO
There were some locomotives I really wanted but decided not too. I simply bought too much this year or I would have walked out of there with at least two more OMI boxes.
Self control can be a wonderful thing some times.
I had a great time and found some much needed detail parts for finishing another project.
Did anyone see the assembled Korber 6 Stall Roundhouse? What a steal at $300 'Taking Offers'! You can't buy the unassembled kits for that price!
