Mine is from when I wanted a Lionel 2056 for my birthday, which was for sale at a local hobby shop. I found out later that it was a Lionel 2055.

NY Giants season ticket holder since 1973.
I live in Michigan, on Lake Michigan. My wife is so happy to live here that she let me have a large train room and workshop. Unfortunately, still too many distractions, so my layout building is moving very slowly. And now golf and boating season has arrived...

By the way, my picture is at the control stand of a Napa Wine Train locomotive.
Besides trains, I collect Tonka and similar brands of trucks. The photo shows one wall of my collection as well as a construction site diorama. Looking closely you can see I managed to sneak in a three track 18' long yard connecting to my layout via a lift bridge, so the trains are never far from view.

Me too.
My pants had holes in the knees and shoe toes worn through from playing with them in the dirt.

Wow! Love the smoker tractor pull tractors. Can we get a close up pic of those? Are they 1/16 scale?
You nailed it tonkanut! Graduated from Michigan State and since the 1225 used to be on campus that inspired the polar express I thought I would honor both. Honestly my first creative handle lol. Usually I can’t think of one haha
I love those smokers I haven’t seen that many in 1/16. And not sure I have EVER seen modified multi engine ones!! You even have the iron man sled! And the turbine ones!!! Who made/makes them? Really awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I’ll share my other collective hobby kind of like yours. Precision ag ertl I really enjoy the detail on them

That's a really nice collection Sparty. So as not to hijack a train thread I am emailing you so we can visit offline.

Thanks tonkanut. Good plan!
Wonderful thread.
When I came back into model railroading in 2010-11, I thought of some names and went ahead with the number of the Amfleet Coach Number that I took a trip on from New York to Fort Lauderdale with my mother Halloween 2010. So I use Amfleet25124 on any of the train forums I frequent, OGR being it 99% of the time
Some photos that I dug out of the archives.
One of the things I like to do when I take Amtrak is to take a photo of the vestibule door with the car number of the coach I'm riding in. Somehow I did not take a photo of such on this particular trip.
