Patrick,

I will be able to attend.  You certainly have quite a lineup planned!  I have a Lionel 621 switcher and 2026 2-6-4 along with all the cars that came in the 1956 and 1953 train sets my daughter found at a thrift store and gave me for Christmas.  They are all checked out and run fine, so I may bring the locos.

You mentioned the video of the 611.  We lived in Virginia and West Virginia for about 12 years before moving back to Butler County almost 20 years ago.  I took some video of the 611 back in 1992 when they ran from Alexandria to Charlottesville.  I'll have to see if I can find it.  I was reminded of it when I saw MTH is coming out with a PS3 J 611 and 607.  I am thinking I may want to get one of them instead of the Consolidation with my tax return.

Thank you very much!!

Thanks Patrick,

I will also be attending train day at your place.  I have color slides that I took from about 1979-1989 of local railroad subjects including Union Railroad Duquesne yard,  P&LE Mckees Rocks yard,  PAT Train, etc.  I would make the slides available for copies to be made to those modeling any of these areas.

Thanks , Nick

Cant wait Doc ..  theres gonna be quite a few special surprises ... everything you do is unique and one of a kind. Any chance of that freedom train showing up? Make some nice pics, that thing  might be just long  enough to cross both trestles at the same time ..

As Sutter said lets just pray for good weather and everyone keeps safe... Alot of good people are helping out...should be a blast.....  Alot of new faces planning to come..Forum and non forum ..

Wow!  Patrick, it sounds like you have an awesome event planned!  I too wish I lived closer as I would love to see your layout and meet all the guys.  As I have said many times, we loved living in Pittsburgh and miss so many things about the area.  The warmth of the people is one of it's best assets.

Looks like I will be able to make it (going to be juggling family stuff all this week and into the next) with my nephew Glenn and maybe my nephew Jeff (he hasn't made up his mind, yet) and possible my neice Emily (she may have other obligations, but not sure yet - like I said, juggling...), and I will be bringing a friend from work (and occasional forum lurker) Mike and his wife Jill.

Since I will showing all how to create the system modules for upgrading, if you have 2 black modules or 2 of the gunrunnerjohn modified modules, I can walk you through the procedure to create 1.52 system modules for you.  If you just want to bring your base and Cab we can use my modules.

Before you leave we'll verify that the modules or Cab and base are working.

Patrick,

I should be able to attend.  I have been looking forward to it.  Please let me know if there is anything that you need for the day.  I can bring some of the recent MTH P&LE passenger cars if there is an interest to see a few of these on the layout.

Thanks,

David

Patrick,

Thanks for this.  We've never met but I live very close and am intending to come with my (adult) son.  I'm thinking of bringing my Broadway Limited (Lionel scale Atlantic and Williams 70 ft Heavyweights) and/or scale S2.  I am dying to see them on a big layout.  My layout is barely 12 ft square!

I might also bring some G/1/whatever Aristocrat was-gauge -- here's a good "I'm an idiot" story:  I got sick of cleaning the brass rail so I Ebay'd it in order to get SS. But I never found the SS at a price I liked so for years now I have had no track.  So itwould be nice to see that stuff in motion again.

To cold out there for us to make signs.. Its ok if you wander around a while...

UPDATE: Well it looks like we are gonna have quite a few coming tomorrow and the bad weather not coming unto Sunday.

2 quick points.

Please use  the main front entrance drive through for drop off and keep open...

Please take your time getting here, you wont miss anything and most that volunteered to give "educational talks" wont be here until 5-5:30.The layouts will be open at 3:30

Thanks Norm!
