Patrick,
Probably by this time everyone has left for home. Thanks for a marvelous day and for opening your house to all. What hospitality! What a bonus it was to see everyone and chat about trains.
Best wishes,
Norm
One funny little tidbit.....My family and I are leaving. My boys are thanking Patrick for such a great event and my older one (who is 9 yrs. old) asks "Hey Patrick when can we come back to run trains?" Priceless!!!!

What a Great Day for all of use. Thanks Patrick for the Super time. Talked with old friends made several new friends. We were all there for the same reason to enjoy our hobby of trains. Everyone that came made this day a success.
Always glad to help any way I can.
Patrick,
This is fantastic, your home looks beautiful. Your layout is fabulous
looked like everyone had a great time, I wish I could have attended

This is what this hobby is all about -- sharing and having a good time! Here are some of the pix I took Saturday:
Andy
Thank you Andy for more good photos. There's a photo of the other custom car, lettered for the Train Day. The graphics are really nice like on the the Outdoor Hockey Game car. Again, it was a great time. I'm glad I was able to attend.
If not for my grand daughters birthday party on the same day....I'd been there!!!!! (we did make a trip to the train store as a alternative!)
But I still want to say thanks to Patrick for the invite and for holding an event that was nothing but positive for our hobby.....maybe another time I'll get to attend!!

Well sounds like you had a good day too, Dave! Grand daughter's birthday and a trip to the train store. Hopefully we didn't ransack Patrick's home too much, and he will hold another open house. I hope to meet you then.
I didn't take many pictures, but here's a few that I did.
Patrick's revamp of his mining area is pretty neat, I really like the lighted mineshaft,
Another picture of the big boys
I think this was Uncle Fester's engine
Thanks again for your hospitality Patrick

Thanks we did have a good time!!! She has been going to train shows since she was 9 months old. And even a 4 she knows more about trains than some adults!
I did want to call out Patrick for hosting an event like this.....
I had a great time, thank you Patrick. Great photos Andy and Pat. Jim
Patrick, thank you for a great night and to the Pgh Area "HiRailers who put together a 18' by '10' layout to allow Rick and I to run a few G gauge engines.
Having a hard time deciding what I enjoyed the most: the trains, the layout or the excellent food.
The fact that there is still active posting on this thread speaks for what a great event this was. My kids and I are still talking about it! Thanks again Patrick!!!

Yes it does Neal. A great event.

What kind of locomotive is the red and black G gauge steamer you ran? The detailing is excellent. I would like to look up some photos of the prototype.
