Jeff, You will be in our prayers. Best of luck to you.
You are on my prayer list.
Jeff, I always love it when I see a response from "Chessie1971" on my topics. You're going to do great! Good luck!!
All the best to you. I've had one for nearly 3 years now. Don't miss the appointments when they check the performance and the battery. These things are amazing cuz the appliance and, most importantly, the battery, is made in the USA, not China.
Jeff, best of luck. I'm sure the operation will go great.
Jeff, It is very easy to be anxious before any procedure as I have had several operations. However, you will be ok. I will pray you will have peace.
Jeff,
A special railroad kitty will be looking out for you. You'll be purring like new after the operation.
Listen, don't worry, these are easy. My 98 year old mother in law is getting a new battery put in her's This Tuesday morning. We are lucky they offer these devices, you will be fine.
Fred
PS, All these folks praying for you, well intentioned, make it sound like the end is near, don't worry.
Jeff,
Prayers go out o you for a speedy recovery.

Done Jeff. Best of luck.
Had something similar in April and thankfully it was a piece of cake.

Jeff,
You're in my prayers. Not to worry as this is a common procedure these days. In most cases a overnight stay in Step-down is all that's required. May our Lord be with you.
I'm glad that the Moderator(s) made the choice to leave this post in place.
Stay stong, chessie
Prayers sent for you and your family, chessie1971--BELIEVE!
Both my parents have them. It really is something that sounds far worse than it really is.
chessie 1971,
You will be our prayers. You just relax. Everything will be fine. Got you covered.
Good luck Chessie, my prayers are with you.
I wish you the best, and it's good that they have identified the problem before it became a BIG problem. The good news is I know people that have had pacemakers for 20 years, I hope you can best their record.
Jesus, keep Chessie1971 in your arms, cover him with your blood and let him know the toy train and train community is behind him in thought and prayer. Godspeed and may you guide the DRs arms and hands to be gentle, swift and straight!
Great prayer - I heartily concur Jeff.
Thanks also for starting and hosting the HONGZ thread each week
Prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery. I have just gone into Afib before sitting down to read the forum. I think I'm loosing the battle against Afib after a four month reprieve. Keep us posted and again our prayers are with you..

Tom
You'll be fine if you just dream of toy trains.
Have a speedy recovery!
Peter
Don't worry about it. I survived a bypass, and you'll survive the pacemaker.
Our prayers go with you, too
Prayers ... and best wishes to you.
I don't know your particular situation, but ..... I, too, have heart problems. I am thankful that things like this can be done for us.
Positive attitude, my friend.
Good luck. We'll keep you in our prayers.
may the Good Lord touch you and a speedy recovery. My Mother in Law got her fourth pacemaker last year...she keeps wearing them out!
What a blessing to live in a time and a place where this treatment is safely available!!
There are thousands through out the world who pass early due to lack of essential health services. Love the box car.
Jeff,
I've had this done twice, once for initial install and once for replacement because the batteries do run down after 5-7 years. Second time was in and out of hospital on same day. First time is a little more complicated because that is when they run leads from device into your heart. You may have to stay in for a few days, wear a sling on left arm for week or two, and not be allowed to lift anything over a set weight limit for about six weeks. However, when done, life is always much better.
Good luck,
Chuck
