Looks great!
jp
Thanks, JP.
It's one of those moments when it all comes together.
I made a start on the Harbor Master's building this week.
It's in three modules for ease of construction.
Now to print off some cladding.
Looks fine, Max!
Made of wood, cardboard? And what kind of cladding: bricks, concrete? I know, I'm inquisitive....
jp
Thanks, JP.
It's made of MDF. It will have a tiled roof and brick walls. Aluminum window and door frames.
. . . for the cladding.
The gutters are Plastruct 90584 3/16" 4.8 mm channel.
Thanks, Max, for information and links!

Max,
Nice work on the building.
Alan Graziano
Thanks, Alan.
Work continues on the Harbor Master/Pilot/Emergency Services building.
The plasterers have been in and the carpet has been laid.
. . . and the roof is finished.
The flagpole is straight. It's just the camera angle
Tomorrow the bottom brick cladding goes on, ready for the weathering.
Then the glazing begins.
Fine work, as usual!
The carpet seems to be very soft!
jp
Thank you, JP
It was amazing serendipity. I copied a piece of grey cardboard on my laser printer and it came out pink.
It looks just like carpet.
Now, if you want a grey carpet, you know what you have to do... !

Max, I really like the Harbor Master's building, can't wait to see the completed build. I know you said aluminum door and window frame, are scratch building or purchasing the frames?
Scratch building, Joe.
Thanks.
It's been a hectic couple of weeks, what with the wedding and the wake and all.
All I've managed to do is buy a couple of 1:43 vehicles from Aldi. A$4.00 each; and weather them slightly.
I know that they're way out of era, but they will be OK for a cameo somewhere.
Max,
The clean spots on the truck windshields are a great touch, not to mention the "lads" on their fishing break. It reminded me of how inspiring and fun it's been watching your project unfold. I don't want it to end.
If I haven't said it already, how can I hire that project manager in the orange safety clothes? I've got some 1:1 projects that desperately need his follow-through skills and presence. It seems like that guy is on-site 24x7!
Tomlinson Run Railroad
Sitting on the dock of the bay, watching at tide........ said the song...
Fine atmosphere on your layout, Max!

Max
I continue to enjoy your thread
Thank you, all.
I don't know that my guy has any free time, TRR. I'm happy to pop over to lend a hand, though.
Very nice work
Thank you.
Yup...love the windshield wiper action on the weathered vehicles....it's everyday stuff but most of us fail to think of it.....outstanding !!
Thanks.
Looks like the blokes down on the wharf at Fremantle, even the seagulls look the same!
Looks good mate, I have always liked wharfs on a layout. Roo.
Thanks, Roo.
Work continues on the Harbor Master's Office, etc. The ground floor is done - except that I forgot to draw in the joints in the concrete floor in the garage.
Here is how it looks in situ . . .
I rather like those wooden windows. I think that I'll continue them on the top floor.
Very fine art, Max!
Are the bricks just printed on a sheet of paper or are they raised?
JP
Thanks, JP.
I print them using my laser printer, so they are waterproof; and the colours are very vibrant.
But they are just paper. The roof tiles are very convincing, even with the naked eye.
Max, I'm liking that harbor master's office more and more. The roof look very realistic, even appear to have depth and texture in your photo.
Thanks, Joe.
I feel like the laser printer makes sharper pictures.
Thanks for information, Max.
jp
The layout is shaping up beautifully, Max.
Thanks, Matt.
Thanks. I've lost your post, Dennis. I don't know what CTT is, and I don't have the page 55, but I bet that it's good.
I've decided to cut out two more windows above the garage.
I have to go to an NMRA meeting, but I'll take a photo when I return.
Cheers
Max, after being absent for health reasons, it's great to catch up with a well-documented project such as yours. Suggestion: Use the edit function in your thread's title to note the addition of new info/photos to help us follow along.
Looking forward with anticipation to the next installment.
Hi Carl. Thanks.
Haven't noticed that facility. I'll see if I can find it.
Nope. I can't see it, mate.
Can you give me some more info?
While I'm waiting for Carl, I've put in two more windows upstairs.
It has meant more plasterboard and carpet.
