No real disassembly required. The stud for which the spring is captured around is riveted on so no point in opening things up. Remove the truck pivot/attachment screw and then rotate it about 90 degrees so that it can be liberated from the stud. Now, just like a key on a key ring, you can unwind the spring from the stud, or since it is determined to be bad, cut it away. Install the new spring just like a key on a key ring and warp it around the stud. Reinstall the truck.
