Saw this at the 3rd Rail booth and thought the next to last paragraph was really a laugher. OLD PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BUY TRAINS. It really says that the mortality risk is too great given the time required to produce them.

After my son purchased his MTH GP-30 (Click Here for that story)
The Stillwater Crossing Railroad Club in the White Hall (Rick Dodd) invited my son to run his engines on their layout. He had a blast... and of course now wants to join the club.

Who's is making this??? MTH????

Yes, I am pretty sure that is an MTH model. The picture was taken at the booth of J.D.S. Limited Productions. Jeff, the owner, does PS2 and PS3 installations. He also works for MTH full time. I plan to have him upgrade a Sunset locomotive for me this summer.

Dave, that photo was taken at the booth of (I am almost positive) Custom Model Railroads. I briefly met the gentleman that did this work. I didn't catch his name but I told him how really great his work is. He had a white beard. I don't recall their website address.
I mean, Does MTH produce this model WITH the smoking whistle? I have the PS2 model and love it.
Perhaps JDS adds on the smoking whistle?
Yes, it was my impression that Jeff at JDS added that feature.
I don't know if MTH is going to add this feature but I think it would be great if they did.
Yep. LC+ multi engine remote. Programable To the engines you are using.
They eu are looking into doing LC as well.
Did they by any chance demo this ? Is it easy to configure ?
Any news on the release dates of the LC+ NW2 ?

I saw Lionel demo this at the booth today.
It seems the remote will find any LC+ engines on the track(up to 3).
It was mentioned that you really can't control which engine is considered 1, 2, or 3, but you can easily find out which is which by blowing the horn/whistle.

I believe Stan was the gentleman with the white beard.

Yikes!! Emile, what a mistake! Reminds me of An old modeler I met when living in West Virginia. He told me The Cincinnatian went through his town, and he often watched it. He had an early brass model of it in HO. Even in the early '90s when he showed it to me it was rather crude by that days standards. Still a nice model. I'm sure 3rd rail will do a top notch job on it...however they spell it.
Proof that great minds dress alike....
Glad we got the dress code memo Ed!

Marty, great job you did Friday morning at the dinner! I think Lionel should get those boxcars of Batman and Superman out to the Big Bang producers fast. Dr. Sheldon Cooper would love those cars., His favorite Hero's on a train Boxcar, he could add them to his collection.
I think that would be a great promo for the O gauge industry. in MHO.
We started out at the Strasburg, as usual.

Marty and some of the people that keep MTH going. Midge Wilburn, Marty Fitzhenry, Mike Wolf, Andy Edelman, and the new guy with his name tag hidden. (Any info?)
Howard Hitchcock, Marty and Rich Melvin. Howard and Rich signed Lionel Nickel Plate Berkshire #765 boxes for all who brought them to the show. Rich Melvin is the engineer on the REAL 765 Berkshire.
Marty, Ed Boyle and Bear Owen solving the problems of the model train world.
Jim Elster's Redneck Wedding scene was a big hit.
Eddie G (Goldman) with a 'Round the Clock" T-shirt. Eddie celebrates his 85th birthday tomorrow, April 27.
Marty Fitzhenry celebrating his 70th consecutive York meet. His attendance record has reached his age!
Great pictures!

May want to rethink associating model railroading with that television show. Last Thursday, while many were at York, this exchange was broadcast at the 11:25 mark of season 8, episode 22 (now available on demand for all the world to view):
Sheldon: You know, when you're done with that, can you look at this? [Retrieves Postwar Berkshire from under the kitchen counter and presents for Howard to see.] It doesn't make smoke anymore.
Howard: One toy at a time.
Sheldon: Mm. Sorry. Ah, maybe it's for the best. I hear locomotive smoke is the second leading cause of death among train aficionados.
Rajesh: What's the first one?
Howard: Suicide.
Sheldon: Wrong. Obesity.
I take no personal offense at a svelte 6'3" and 200 lbs., but others may.
What, me worry?
Happy Birthday to a great guy.
The only pictures I actually took at York were of my tent lol. I did take these at the Lionel TCA Museum presentation:
115th Anniversary Berkshire
Steam
Lionchief Plus Multi-Engine Remote
The three presenters
And now, my favorite photo of all! (I may have to post this on the Lionel Facebook Page for them to see)
