Gentlemen,
Every once in a while when I try to answer a post, the submit portion of the post section, does not appear to allow me to submit a post.
Please explain why this happens.

Sigh...
What OS? What browser? What version?
Without that information it's like going to the doctor and telling him you "...don't feel good..." and expecting him to cure you.
Rich,
Please underatand I thought this was a blocking technique, of some kind.
I was trying to answer a post in the DCS section on toggle switches and the Submit Reply portion of the post reply does not come up for me to use.
Dave
First you need to give Rich the system info he asked for. Also include the device you are using to access the forums. iPads/iPhones, Android devices etc., don't always "play" nice with this web site software, for example. FWIW.
JB GPS,
I am working from my HP Computer (Windows 7), Via Comcast, using Yahoo, version unknown, direct to the OGR Web sight. I thought the web master could see all this from his position as web master.
PCRR/Dave
I don't think Yahoo is a browser. He will still need to know that.
The browser should take you to the Yahoo site, I believe.
I could be wrong. Greg
No, I cannot see the information in question.
Yahoo is not a browser, it is a web site. What program do you use to access the web? Internet Exploder? Firefox? Chrome?
If this happens again, you might just try clicking in the top bar of the posting window and moving the window up. Sometimes that will reveal the button. I have no idea why it does this.
I have had a similiar issue the past week or so with not seeing the "submit reply" button.
Unfortunately for me there has been a pop up menu on the bottom of my screen that keeps showing up....and I have to minimize it to see the rest of the OGR screen. Just figured that it was an internal problem on my computer and not an OGR issue.
I am using Windows, IE, Yahoo, and OGR site. If somebody can help me figure out how to get rid of IE and use another browser that would be great!
Rich,
I use internet explorer, Windows 7. This problem only happens every once in a while on certain treads and only on the OGR Forum.
Dave
Install it as set it to your default browser
Of follow these directions:
Not everyone wants to use Firefox. Firefox has its own issues and may not work well with some other websites. For someone who is familiar with using Internet Explorer, Firefox may be annoying to have to figure out different details.
Dave's issue may be connected with a Windows security setting or protection software that sees a posting window as a "pop-up" ?
I use Windows 7 and "Internet Exploder" with no problems.
Ace,
You are correct sir, I do not want to change from IE, certainly not because this happens on one forum, every once in a while. I was hoping for some technical
reason for what is happening. Buy the way, it still will not let me submit on the
DCS Toggle Switch thread.
Dave
This may be related to another issue.
Pine Creek, go to the DCS Toggle Switch thread and see if you can reply now.
Rich,
What ever you did technically worked perfectly for me, thank you for looking at this problem. Can you explain what the problem was?
PCRR/Dave
The problem was a plug-in from Dragon Naturally Speaking 12 from Nuance with a known bug. This plug-in, installed in member RJR's browser, was adding additional hidden code at the end of every one of his posts. That code had the ability to move images around for some people...things like the buttons you could not see.
We confirmed that this was the problem and RJR jas removed the plug-in from his machine. All OK now.
Glad to see you got an answer. It was clear you were really having a problem and wanted to figuer it out.Good job tracking it down.
Rich,
Roger that, and thanks again for finding and correcting the problem.
