I bought a set of MicroTrains Potomac & Western boxcars a few days ago on eBay. They are nice cars and were a special run done by MT. I have been looking for some prototype info on this railroad, because I haven't heard of it. I assumed it was a short line, but I can't find any information at all about this railroad. I am thinking it is a fantasy road. Did it really exist?

Humm, I wonder if it's aimed at fans of the Potomac Eagle Scenic RR and the Western Maryland Scenic RR? Hence, "Potomac and Western"? (Does the livery match either of these?)

Tomlinson Run Railroad
I think it may be a fantasy but I'm still checking some WVA maps from the 1870's. The closest that I've come is the Winchester and Potomac which became part of the B&O in 1902. Today it is the CSX Shenandoah sub.

Thanks for responding. I am fairly certain at this point that they are a fantasy. I am going to contact MicroTrains for more information. Hopefully they will reply with the facts about these cars. Sometimes they respond, sometimes they don't. I should have done my research before hand.
