Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy the power adaptor plugs that plug into Menard's O-gauge buildings? I only need the plug part as I have numerous transformers and ran out of feeder plugs. Hopefully, the plugs can be purchased and come with wire attached so I can simply solder feeder wires to the ends.

Thanks, Chuck. If I read the links correctly, 5.5 x 2.1 mm is the size to get? Ideally, I'd like to find some with 90 degree elbows as they snuggle up and take less space. I am looking on e-bay now, tens of thousands of items, am looking for ones that have the 5.5 x 2.1 in the listing, except with 90 degree elbows, and coming up with zero results! Must not be doing something right, here.

Thank you all! "Right angle" in the search field does the trick. Are the ones from China and Hong Kong any good? $4.99 for ten of them and free shipping seems hard to beat, unless they're junk and take a slow boat to get to the US?

Mark, I see you have 2.1 mm and 2.5 mm in the links, aren't the Menards the 2.1 mm size?

I just learned that Menards sells plugs too!

Hi Paul,

I respectfully suggest that you take a look at our 8-piece Plug and Play accessory kit (Menards SKU# 279-4035).

It looks like it has everything you are looking for! Here's a link for you.

Merry Christmas!

Mark, quick question, I ordered my two and received them, very happy.  One question, when would I use the male/male extension?  Are there other pieces not included in this set.

Thanks

I'm not Mark the Menards guy so don't get confused. One possible use would be to feed power through one building to other buildings. Most of the later buildings have 2 female  input ports, one on the outside and another inside the building accessible from the bottom.

With your power supply plugged into one of those ports the other would accept one end of the male/male wire and allow you to connect it to another building with the other end.

I knew that some had two female ports, i thought the one inside was just used to hide the port, did not know you could daisy chain them.  That makes sense

Dont overload your power supply, its worth noting that you can do this quite easy daisy chaining,

Not sure its correct but this is how i figured mine, i have around 20 building on 4 power supplies, count all leds on building multiply by 20 this is your milliamp load minus sign, so i count that as 2 leds or 40mA just to be safe, dont exceed milliamps on power supply, anybody want to chime in, please do

Each building has different number of lights  and a sign so try to balance each power supply.

I got my plugs screw ready from china, 10 for $2, i believe, only had one so far out of 20 with issues, at that price, still happy.  Cheers
