I am looking to get either powered street cars or interurban car to run up and down streets on my pending build...I am looking for the kind from the 30's/50's that ran on overheard electric power....or even something like the electric cars that still run in San Francisco...I have not been successful in locating any...

Anyone know if anybody makes these?

Thanks

Lionel and several other companies make street cars that look anywhere from 1930s to 1960s in period.  Many are bump and go models that reverse at the end of a linear run.  I had the Lionel model on my layout for a while but removed it to add other things.  I suggest looking at the various manufacturers sites or at some of the big internet dealer sites to find the one that's right for you.

MTH has a PCC, A Brill car and a small bump and go car that they have releasedfrom time to time. Lionel has a Birney style car that has been issued in several color schemes, Bowser had some as well as Western Hobbycraft. There was also a car from Atlas, the old industrial rail offering;

Third rail and MTH have done the Electroliners which might meet your interurban description.

Lionel, MTH,Third rail and K Line all had Commuter type cars which ran from Overhead wire. There are several road names available.
