Great link! Thanks for posting.
Remarkable review of history. To see the condition of some of the equipment at different dates and the difference between Railroads. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for posting. I've gotten through the Santa Fe photos and now I am looking at one of the weirdest paint schemes I have seen in a long time. The Boston & Maine #2 pulling a train out of Boston South Station. It appears to be one of those RDC conversions.
Now that was fun!
Interesting to see trains from really nice condition to really crappy. Also saw paint schemes that I wasn't aware of before. I guess even old fogies can learn something new.
If the link works, here was the most interesting photo to me: http://irths.com/fotos/foto_11739.php

That's an ACF Talgo train with a Fairbanks-Morse locomotive leading the parade - not a success by any means, out of service after a brief life; New Haven also dabbled with a similar set.
Thank you for sharing. That is a nice collection.
thanks for posting great find
I did not think the U28CG's on the ATSF came as far south as Houston.
Any idea what the 1st B unit is in this pic?
Steam generator 'car'. Used in cold weather when train may be too long or if lead locomotive(s) not steam boilered.
