What is the correct color of jewels for prewar Lionel steam engines? Need to replace missing jewels on my engine and want to use the proper color.

The classification lights would have been:
- White - this train was an extra
- Green - a second section following
- Off - a regularly scheduled train
- Red - running backwards and is the rear of the train, or is the train
I've seen both colors on the 0-4-0 & 0-6-0 switchers and the 226E & 1666E. I'm not sure if they were a factory error or if they were just assembled with whichever jewels were available that day as a production policy. Sorry I can't offer anything definite.
Which engine are you working on.
I need to replace the jewels for a 201. Appreciate any and all help because I have heard several answers regarding the prewar engines.
I believe that were red most of the time. But there were variations.
Both of my postwar Lionel engines had green markers, but there's a prewar 201 on ebay showing red markers. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONE...d:g:1uEAAOSwybpbnxzn
I think most (if not all) of the switchers had red jewels, although I could be mistaken.
