I just tried a new filament from Prusa,   Woodfill Linden Light.    After printing it looks, smells, feels and has the weight of light wood.  Stains like wood.   One of the best parts, you don't have to dry it!   Works with a 0.4 nozzle and prints well.

I printed a cabin and my eyes cannot see layer lines, the texture of the printed filament hides it.    This is a picture of the cabin, 2 roof pieces and chimney assembled, but not glued yet.

I think this will do well making many "Wood" landscape projects.

$34.95 U.S. plus shipping and tax, 1KG roll.   Most wood filaments need a 0.6 nozzle, this works with 0.4 brass nozzle.    They state "no drying needed"  Lower heat than PLA, but otherwise I used the PLA printing specifications.     Supports release easily.   It has an afiniti for the smooth/PEI sheet so a glue or something to allow it to un-stick from smooth sheets must be used.   I used a satin texture sheet.

I clean the hairspray off with Isopropyl Alcohol, comes right off.  So far I have no complaints with the smooth build plate that comes with the K1C printer, stuff has stuck well and comes off cleanly.  I like that I can flex it to help remove the model.

I use the textured plate with no glue for most prints with it.  When I use the textured plate, it gives me a cool textured finish on the base of the part.
