I recently changed my subscription to OGR magazine from paper to digital, and I've started downloading the available back issues. With my connection speed, it seems to take about 10 minutes or more per issue. Some issues download on the first try, but with some issues the download fails, but I doubt it is dependent on the particular issue. I've been trying to download issue 253 and it has failed 14 times so far. It generally gets to around 8 minutes remaining, and then it fails. I'm trying issue 254 now and the same thing. So, that means I'm wasting about 3 minutes per attempt, and I haven't successfully downloaded an issue in almost an hour. The downloads don't cache, so it doesn't pick up were it left off, it starts over from the beginning.

The reason I switched from paper to digital is to get rid of the stacks of paper magazines lying around, but I want to be able to download the digital issues so I have a copy. If I'm unable to successfully download issues, the digital subscription isn't going to be very useful for me.

Anyone else have problems downloading issues, or any suggestions?

There is something wrong with your internet connection. It is too slow. I just downloaded Run 253 in 35 seconds! If your internet connection is too slow, the browser will timeout and give you this error.

CLICK HERE to go to a web site that can check your upload and download speeds.I just ran a test here at the OGR office. My download speed is 55.42 Mbps and upload is 5.39 Mbps.

If your numbers are far lower than that, ask your ISP to troubleshoot your connection speed. A typical OGR Digital Issue is just over 200 megabytes. At commonly available speeds today, the absolute worst download time you should see would be about 3-4 minutes to download an issue.
