Problem-resetting Atlas O SW9

Hello,

Have NCE DCC system, I am fairly knowledgable on re-setting and fixing problems.

I have had NCE system and Atlas O SW9 for 8-10 years? The problem is that as power

is applied lights come on but locomotive does not move, had same problem with Atlas O

GP-9 in past, used magnetic wand, then reprogrammed, no problem. On this SW9 don't

know where magnetic reed switch is?, tried to reach on program track and on main to

reprogram/reset-now light don't come on, no response on 3, nothing, HELP!

If it has a QSI decoder

on the main track [remove all other QSI equipped locos

program on the main...

CV programming [#2 on your handheld display]

CV49= 128

CV50= 255

CV56= 113

you should hear the horn "toot" twice, telling you it is re set to address #3

Hi ncng,

I have an Atlas 0 SW-9 DC 2-rail which I want to convert to DCC with sound, although initially just for the sake of having sound on DC !

Can you offer any advice or recommendations please ?

(The manual says it takes 3A stall current.)(The PCB is dated 2001)
