Problems with my new Lionel SD40-2 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hello,

Last week I received my 3 new Lionel SD40-2s in Wheeling & Lake Erie. The pilots on both of the powered units seem to be drooping. On the one powered unit I can't keep the snowplow off the tracks, I can pick it up with my finger but it returns to ground zero when I let go. On the other powered unit the front coupler droops down when it has any tension on it, again I can lift it with my finger but same effect. Any suggestions?

Other than this issue I am happy with them so far.

Try looking under the pilot for any screws that can be tightened. Could just be a screw loose.
