Programing glitch?

Did you try a feature and factory reset, usually will fill the problem also do a conventual reset bell n whistle and you should hear 2 whistle toots then re add engine and run DCS with remote!

Alan and Mitch, I appreciate your replies! As for trying to "reset", same issue, it won't go beyond a long horn beep. I would have thought reloading the file would have corrected the issue. As for the battery suggestion? It wouldn't run if the battery had issues........would it? Thanks for the suggestions!!!

You never stated what transformer you are using to run this in conventional. To me that more sounds like the issue. It was NEVER the sound file, never corruption, that was some crazy tail chasing exercise and nothing I would have advised anyone to do.

The real kicker- you have a TIU, but appear to be running this conventionally on another track. The huge risk of conventional is- it's not DCS precision signal and control- it's you send a signal and sequence and hope the engine understands it.

False, it could run but still not run correctly- especially under conventional. But again more info is needed. We don't even have the product number or what version this PCC even is?? Could be a failing PS2 5V board, or just a bad original white battery 20+ years old, or a PS2 3V with an aged battery, or a newer PS3??

Vernon Barry, thanks for your insight. FYI, My trolley section of my layout is powered by a Z1000. The remainder of my layout uses (2) Z4000 transformers. I'm not a sophisticated hobbyist, conventional mode for me is traditional and easy. I do appreciate the technologies advancements from when I was a kid playing with my Lionel trains. My major enjoyment is creating 3D models for my scenery. The layout is an expression of the different stages of my life.

What version or product number is the PCC?

Vernon Barry, All that remains of the PCC original packing is the operator's manual. No number, just "Rail King"  "PCC Electric Street Car" PS-2. I repainted the body to coincide with Boston, MA , MTA colors but I believe it was a San Francisco car? Thanks! -Joe

So, PS2 5V or PS2 3V??? What battery does it have? 9V style or a 2 cell AA battery pack?
