Just a thought here, but a rubber type case for our DCS, Cab-1/L and Legacy remotes would be a nice thing to have. Like the ones available for a smart phone, ipad, ipod, DVM's (volt meters), etc. I think it would be a good product for the train manufacturer's to offer with their control systems or as a separate sale item. Might just save the day when the remote hits the floor one too many times. I know I have dropped mine a time or two and just about had a panic attack as I watched it going down and hit the floor.

Anyone know if there is anything like this available already?

I was actually thinking of a volt meter I have that has this same type of hard rubber case when I posted this. It's pretty thick and although I haven't dropped the meter yet, it looks like it would hold up to a pretty good drop.

I've been thinking of this for a while because I have a concrete floor.

Been on the look out for something, if I find something good, I"ll post it.  We could all benefit from this.

That's also a good idea. I would thing it would be an easy change for the manufacturers to at least add a loop for one that we could always add later. Or as GRJ suggests, we could try epoxy or something like that. However, I am not usually very successful with modern adhesives. I glue about like I cook...
