Protective case for Remotes?

Interesting thought, I haven't seen any.  It's a good idea, especially for the Legacy CAB2.

Better yet, make the exterior case out of a rubber!  G

Not a case but Holsters help---The Duke says, "holster them hog legs pilgrim".

Power changeover from 3 pw ZWs to 5 PoHos--about 2007. Five track kitchen shelf railroad at 7'6" and 9'-0" high.

Well, when it's sitting on the table, there's not nearly as much chance that it'll be dropped, so the holster isn't going to solve the problem the protective case would.

On walk-around at this particular shelf operation a back pocket always worked for me otherwise the holsters usually ensured where I could find the varmits [pre-Cab2 of course, an awkward size where one would need a large nail apron to holster the subjects].

The CAB2 is the principal one I'd like to protect, it's more delicate than the fairly robust CAB1 or CAB1-L units.  The only thing you usually break on the CAB1 is the antenna.

I wish the Cab 2 remote would have came with a lanyard.  Surprised it didn't when I unboxed it.

I've been thinking of this for a while because I have a concrete floor.  

Been on the look out for something, if I find something good, I"ll post it.  We could all benefit from this.

Not a bad idea.  Perhaps you could bond an attach point to the bottom of the CAB2 and use a lanyard.  With today's adhesives, I'm sure something that's pretty permanent could be attached right at the bottom.

I was actually thinking of a volt meter I have that has this same type of hard rubber case when I posted this. It's pretty thick and although I haven't dropped the meter yet, it looks like it would hold up to a pretty good drop.

That's also a good idea. I would thing it would be an easy change for the manufacturers to at least add a loop for one that we could always add later. Or as GRJ suggests, we could try epoxy or something like that. However, I am not usually very successful with modern adhesives. I glue about like I cook...

How about a rubber "skin" like the Wii remotes have?

I have a slate floor so I know it's going to be game over if a CAB2 hits it.
