Anyone out there’s ever install a PS3 board in an Atlas SW9? Looks pretty tight under the hood and I’m not sure if there is room.

I looked at it and figured we'd need an S scale board set.
I really didn’t know there was such a thing. I will have to check that out. Thank you.
Original TMCC mother board accommodates the modular power board, R2LC control board and the sound board. It is a tight fit, waffer speaker in the fuel tank. There have been ERR upgrades done to the SW models.
Retrofit to one of the original SW9's that had Dallee electronics. Click on the underlined phrase for a slideshow.
Thanks gents. Are the PS3 boards smaller in footprint than the ERR ?
I did a quick search of the MTH website, to find dimensions for PS3 boards, with no results. ?? What are the dimensions of a PS3 board retro kit??
Mainliner, the S scale board is in the MTH GE 44-ton loco, but not otherwise available, yet.
I don't know how the size of the Atlas compares to the ancient Lionel 624, but I have fit a PS2 upgrade board into one of those. Pictures of the process are buried somewhere on the forum, about 3-5 years ago.
Got it. Is the PS3 board smaller than the PS2?
I have no idea. I have a PS3 diesel upgrade kit, but it's sealed.

It is actually a little bigger.
Well, I think I’ll just hold off on this one. I hate using crowbars on fine models. Sure appreciate all the support from you all.

It would help if you could measure the space for the board, especially the width.
I believe some of those come with TAS TMCC, that board is 1.25" wide. Since the PS/3 upgrade board is lightly narrower, even in it's plastic carrier, I don't see why this wouldn't work.
I dont either, a PS3 board should fit in there just fine
Well that’s encouraging gents. Ya see I can pick up the loco for a little over $100. Mike CT (above) had a conversion he recorded with a TMCC system installed. I’m confident I can install a command system but reticent about the fit since ERR is not available.
The Sw9 in UP livery doesn’t come by often. I have not found one yet with TMCC. That would be the optimum option!
You guys are great.🙏
ERR will be back in a few months, you'll be able to once again install TMCC.
