If the rollers point inwards, see if you can reverse them 180 degrees. This worked for my Bi-Polar.

I'm not sure this will work in your case but I had to do extensive mods on this Railking Hudson tender to fit pickup rollers. The "hinged knee" style wouldn't fit between the axles so I had to remove material from the end of the truck frame and mount rollers from an MTH caboose. I made my own insulators using blank epoxy printed circuit board.

Why are you guys doing this?  I have four railking steam engines and have never had an issue with connectivity to the rails?

I have two sets of #6 high speed switches and a string of 048 switches in a switch yard. My Premier non-articulated engines won't pass through w/o losing connectivity. I have had to install pickup rollers on all these tenders to maintain connectivity.

i only seem to have problems with my Atlas switches, these switches are all over 6 yrs old. 

I have the same issue with RK Steam Engines (M1A and 2-6-0) crossing #6 track.  I just ensure their is a power drop very near or on each of the 3 ends of track at the switch and that seemed to solve my problem.
