I can, however, do a "back end" search for some things. Specifically what product were you looking for?

I am so glad to hear about this work in progress. It might take a while before the members can access it, but once it's all done we'll have a massive library we can search for items of interest.

Thank you for undertaking such a time consuming project. In the end it will be a phenomenal tool.

Thanks Ed!

I am a premium member now, so I should be able to find them in the Digital Library or if not at least order the back issue.

Update: Ah ok I have to buy the Digital Archive set.

Could you tell me what run both of those are?

The store doesnot indicate the month only the run.

Thanks

There have been some online indexes for model train magazines that come and go.

This one has OGRR from 1969 to 1995.  It is not fancy, and you should read the Help file to do proper searches, but it does list the contents and will search on key words.  It also has a plain text file covering those issues.  You can do a windows search on the file for keywords, or just browse all the issues.

The Trains.com magazine index unfortunately does not include OGRR.

Thanks, Rich for your effort to do an online index of OGRR.   It is an incredibly tedious and time consuming task.  Another option is to crowd-source the project.   This is what was done in the index I linked above.  It allows readers to submit the index information from their magazine collection.  50 or 100 motivated readers could do this fairly quickly.  The downside, is loss of quality control.  But generally people that are interested in such a product tend to do a good job.

Also you should be able to import the plain text file, which would take care of your older issues.

Bob
