Few things to consider is the Great Trains F40 was made up in Crystal Lake, IL. back in the late 80's early 90's. That model was made in 1:32 scale but isn't totally accurate. The owner Ralph Brown compressed the length of the locomotive by eliminating one section. If you look one fan is missing on the roof. Only one was made to the "scale" length.
