Question on the DCS explorer and the "SS app" whatever that is

The free app only handles three engines. So if you want to run a different one, you have to delete one of the three.

Thanks Joe, I did not ask my questions very well but is it possible to spend the $5 for the software upgrade with the explorer and get 99 locos permanently in residence?  The SS app  seems to be the basic free one but  I could not find that defined anywhere. Will the standard version run on the explorer?

I was also curious how much of a pain it is to get rid of the locos in memory, the instructions mention it but there is no delete tab in the picture they have in the manual.

No, the Explorer will only work the free functions. The two $ upgrades only unlock more functions for the full DCS system. 

It is easy to delete them.

I believe You can have  three engines saved in a phone and different engines saved to another phone or an iPad. I have had two engines on one device and one on another and ran them at the same time. I only own 3 ps3 engines.

Thanks Gentlemen!  I may need to give the explorer a try.  I am too cheap to spend the $325 for the WIU/ TIU 50-1036 combo to put me in the big leagues!
