About a year ago I picked up a second LCCA NH FA2 Powered loco so I could have two locos,  I am trying to locate the pinout on the board for the Rear headlight as I changed the motor brushes so one of the locos will run backwards in the forward direction.  I did this in case I run the set in conventional mode and if I take the set to a different layout.  attached is a picture of the board inside of the locomotive...…

the Purple and black wires toward the speaker is the headlightwires.  Black is ground, purple is purple

Does this help?  This is from Rod Stewart's excellent Motherboard documentation document.

Note that there is no reverse light connection as this is a steam motherboard, they never expected you to need one.  You can, however, solder to the bottom of the motherboard, pins-9,10 to tap into the reverse light.
