Is it my computer or are the pictures missing in Ted Hikel's very informative posts from the past? Thanks for any help and here is an example thread with many missing pictures.

Some of them are missing, but it’s a 10 year old thread!
It looks like he used links to other websites for the pictures and the link address is no longer valid or the website that was linked to took the picture down. For example, left click on the first image and then click on "Copy image address" and you get: "http://www.atlaso.com/images/70ton/0911/9394-4_TQ.jpg". If you try to go there, you get the message that "This site cannot be reached."
So, no, it is not your computer.

Agreed, and thanks (@PGentieu) for letting me know it was not my computer. ....but .....(you know that always comes next)...., they were classic details. I wish I had printed them to PDF back in the day! Famous last words.
