I was getting this set and I just wanted to know, this is a premier set and most of the premier sets have a switch or something under the car to open the doors manually. I know the R32 and R1 set have it but does the R11 have it? Thanks all comments welcome!!!

I own the Premier R11's, R1's, R40's, BMT Standards, and one of the R32's, as well as a half a dozen Rail King subways. Only the R32's have opening doors. In fact, the only Premier sets that have opening doors are, I believe, the R32's.
Further, the doors do not open with a "switch", which would seem to imply that there is power being used to open the doors. Rather, there is a tab on the bottom edge of each side of the R32's that one slides with a finger. This is somewhat difficult to do while the car is on the rails.
Lastly, the tiny gears that are used to open the doors are almost impossible to replace if they fall out during removal of the cab from the chassis of the R32's. As much as I really like MTH subways (I own 11 of them), this is one feature I don't miss on my Premier R1's, R11's, R40's, or BMT Standards.
Regardless, the R11's are a great set and I recommend them wholeheartedly!
Ok thanks appreciate the help. bummer though. Hey which R32 do you have. I have the R32 non graffiti set and do you have the R142A set by chance. I'm looking at some sets to get around Christmas what sets would you recommend.
I have the R32 w/graffiti. I like all of my subway sets and would find it difficult to recommend one over another.
Oh ok thanks Barry I have a question do you have the R142 set and run it with DCS and if you do how do you get the R142 set to do cab chatter thing.
