Here she is at the Jersey Central station in Jim Thorpe. The Strasburg rebuilt her trailing truck with roller bearings and her original spoked wheels.

The spoked wheels on her pilot truck could not be saved. Now she has a pair of matching solid wheels.

The 3:00 PM train departs Jim Thorpe for Lehigh Gorge. Her exhausts were "dead square" and her Reading G-class passenger whistle echoed in magnificent harmony through the mountains. The crew that rebuilt her did a GREAT job! CONGRATULATIONS!

I chased her all day today (after riding the first train), and got a few nice photos. I will share them here when I get a chance to get them ready for sharing.

Also, someone pointed out to me two men in blue shirts, as they took something off the front of the engine. He said they were from MTH, and they had been recording the engine all day. Hopefully that means an O gauge 425 (with the maroon passenger cars please!). I am not usually an MTH person, but that is one of two engines I would buy from ANY O gauge company.

She came through Old Forge on way to Scranton ( Steam Town ) Friday night at about 9pm,  Her whistle was haunting.   The sound of her could be heard about 1/2 mile away from the tracks at my house.   She came past my parents house and my mother was going crazy as all the coach lights were lit and the cab was all lit up.   I just missed her by the time I got to my truck and chased .
