I was in Spencer, NC for a Masonic RR degree this weekend, rode in the Powhatan car to the repair facility where we held the degree work.  I spoke to a NS engineer about the 611 which is there being serviced.  I asked about the fact that they were not allowing any excursions.  He said "Grumpy Managers".  He said he even had to take the Norfolk Southern First Responders 9-1-1 SD70 back to storage because they are not going to display it this year.
