My FT remote switch (non CC) stopped working and I was able to trace the wiring to a red wire leading from the auxillary power terminal block to the far left connection on the circuit board as show on the attached pics. There is a small resistor (listed as "Resistor" on the attached FT switch wiring diagram) in the line which was open and not passing any current through which may be at least one of the causes of the switch not working.  It was covered in black shrink wrap. (Obviously, the next question would be what caused the resistor to fail, but one step at a time.)

Does anyone know what the value of this resistor is and what I could replace it with ?

Thanks in advance.

Not really, I don't know enough about the circuit to speculate on a cause.  I do know I've heard about them failing multiple times, and when replaced, there was no apparent issues.  I think if I needed a low value fuse, I'd have considered a PTC that's self-resetting.  Since the Fastrack switches draw very little power, even when switching, a low value PTC in the 100-200ma trip range might be a better choice for the circuit protection.
