On Sunday Sept 22nd I was on my way to the store and the corner of my eye caught a glimpse of some Amtrak cars sitting on the CSX main on the west side of Cleveland along I480. Several baggage cars and a dining car. They are now marked RCPX, private railcar owners. They were gone hours later. The contact number on the cars is a 419 area code, Toledo, Bellevue areas. Anyone have info on these cars?

Interesting find and I hope someone knows something. My guess is some John Madden type billionaire who is fearful of flying.
RCPX is Southern Illinois Railcar, which appears to be a rebuilder/reseller.

As it turns out, Fort Wayne Historical Society bought them at auction from Amtrak. They departed with the 765 westbound tonight from CVSR, via CSX to Campbell Yard in Cleveland, then on NS to the Nob connection to Rockport yard. The unusual consist is west of Vermillion as of this moment.
That is cool, wonder if they plan excursions?
Hokie 71, They do have a long term plan for a river park with a line for 765 at Fort Wayne. I guess the dining car may mean some sort of dinner or wine train like CVSR has found so successful. Not sure why they need 3 baggage cars though. Maybe new crew maintenance car space? Power cars?
Conversion into Kitchen Cars or as HEP cars would be my guess.

Maybe Ft.Wayne might want to consider, if they not already, using the diner for non moving meals. Good china. 4 star food. Make the dining car great again.
