RK 12 wheel tender trackjumping and latching problems

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering if any of you have RK 12 wheel tenders that tend to jump the tracks. Also, either the loco's latch is too high or the tender's hook-in is too low, but it doesn't go all the way down into the hook-in, so it comes unlatched every now and again. If anyone had any troubleshooting suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

I have an RK UP tender that is a bear to back up, since the rear "truck" is fixed and front 4-wheel truck can move side-to-side to stay on the tracks.
