As some of you may know from another thread, I did not initially receive my CC 726 tender when I picked up my engine. After testing the engine sans tender, the smoke unit did not have a decent output. Upon receiving the tender today, and coupling five loaded (w/five-LGB "pipes" each) DB Cargo gons (w/diecast trucks) behind the tender, voila, the smoke output was excellent.
Let me also say that whistle on the CC 726 is very impressive, and can be somewhat "quilled" by using the whistle button on my Z-4000. Cool!
FYI: My dealer was able to obtain a set "break-up" engine/tender from his distributor, as I already had a four-car 1991 Madison set, including the elusive "Sager Place" observation. Also, the DB Cargo gons had been running behind my green MTH Crocodile, so they were already on the track, and conveniently had knuckle couplers.
