ROSS Standard gauge switches: LGB motor vs. DZ-1000 motor

This is an overflow topic from the O-gauge section.
I am new to Ross and purchased a Ross standard gauge switch.
I was told that Ross supplies an LGB motor for standard gauge switches because the DZ-1000 motor is inadequate.
I would like information: Is this the case?
