I checked the owner's manual with my new K-Line Shay last night, but no part number for the mounting plate is provided. I haven't yet removed the contents from the box to see what is or is not included, but there are detailed instructions for changing the coupler position.
I would also be interested in this adapter.
Very frustrating to not be able to run with any cars on O-36 curves.

The author, Paul Pullen, modified the train removing the steps to allow the coupler to swing wide enough to clear the curves.
