Big deal, the coal pile goes up and down. Who would even notice that? Another thing, most of those people at the Lionel booth couldn't answer any of my questions. Where do they get these people anyway?

Try asking questions about trains made this century instead of your 1950's stuff....
As a courtesy to one of this forums sponsors, could you at least post the questions that you asked to the folks in the booth?
Maybe, someone here will have an answer to your question(s).
If the questions have merit and can't be answered, I'm sure someone at Lionel will get an answer for you.
If your questions really have no merit, then you will hear about it as well.

Each to their own. The features offered appeal to many, many folks and as such they are ordering them. I think finding new and innovative features is a good thing...they won't always appeal to everyone but it does appeal to many.
What were the questions you asked the Lionel reps?
The coal load feature is just a little part of the overall package. By itself, it is no big deal. Having seen the demo version in October, once you add all the smoke effects and the sound from 3 speakers (the sound was awesome!), you get a pretty impressive engine with a lot of play value once you are working with the Legacy system and the sensor track that comes with it.

Another example of fingers working keyboard before brain has a chance to kick in.
Instead of insulting the Lionel reps at the York booth you could have emailed Lionel with your questions or posted your questions here on the forum for members to help you.
As far as the new Lionel Vision Line Big Boy goes, if you don't like it that is your choice but you could have stated your opinion a little less abrupt or just kept your opinion to yourself. I don't believe you appreciate the overall features of this great release by Lionel. Too bad.
