My friend Steve and I attended the small train show in Tipton, Indiana last Saturday. This was the 2nd year for this show and it looked more like a show that is well established! Plenty of dealers with room to add a few more yet. Entry price was fair ($5) and free parking. One of my fav brass dealers was there(Chuck Lambuth), he knows I will be there so he brings items in my price range. Thats a kind way of saying they are projects/basket cases. I am very good at saving engines that might other wise be discarded to the scrap bin. I picked up a TID(Trains Inc) brass Union Pacific GE U50 in pieces. She has a good case of foam-a-tosis from original box foam attacking the model. No box for the model, but at the price of $10, I wasnt gonna let it stay on the table. He also had an Alco Models FM H24-66 Trainmaster that is also a project but has its box. Didn't have the funds at the show($50), but I did as of the following day. I emailed him off his webpage(Chucks Brass Models)and he still has it. I am picking it up in about an hour. Pics of it when I get home. The U50 is in my can of carb cleaner/stripper at the moment. She will be nice and shiny again soon. I will get a pic once that model is presentable again, she was a disgrace as purchased. BTW, it does run and has twin motors. Mike
