Seeking info on B&O locomotives.... | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have always known that my Great Grandfather was an engineer for the B&O RR. I only had a letter written by my Grandmother and a newspaper article written when my Grandfather retired. His name was Raymond Malone and today while going through some family papers I found a poor photo of him standing in front of a B&O loco #1212 and written on the back was 'Daddy's loco'. I have hunted through the net for more info on this loco and him without much success. I did find 2 more photos of 1212 one taken at Parkersburg WV which is mentioned in the newspaper article. Any ideas where else I might look?? Thanks

dave have you contacted the b&o historical society. they probably can help you on the info your seeking on the loco and they may even have info on your great grandfather. its worth a try

Dave, go to http://www.northeast.railfan.net/bo_steam2.html. There are two pictures of 1212. It was a 2-8-0 class E-8/60.
