It is California. I model the Southern Pacific in the central valley.
Great work everybody! Here is a scratchbuild of the house I live in in Merced, Ca.
Nicely done. What did you make it out of? Cardstock, plastic? The windows and gingerbread trim look really well done.
Thank You, Lee!
I used Evergreen styrene for the siding, Grandt Line window, door and porch trim, and Rusty Stumps peel and stick shingles over a photo matte base for the roof. I am going to weather the roof with a little chalk.

Very nicely done vignettes. Is that packing house a Shanahan Freight kit?
Yes. I tried to find a packing house that would fit there. Ended up with the Kober freight house.
Here is another angle on the orange grove and packing house

Most visitors immediately notice and comment on my cathedral. It is made from four Pegasus Gothic building kits (Wargamer backdrops, etc.) and scratch-built roof, doors, rear walls, decorations. There are tiny little bells in the belfry, a stained glass rose window, etc. It is the largest building on my layout - 28 by 17 footprint and dominates my little town of San Beattadaise - as a good cathedral should - by being on the highest ground (as a good cathedral should)..
The car out front is a visual pun (and a bad one). This cathedral in my little fictional world is the center of the former archdiocese of Pope Kiril Lokota (played by Anthony Quinn, in Shoes of the Fisherman, my favorite movie) when he was Metropolitan Archbishop of the Volga. That is his Metropolitan parked in front.
