Here is a quick video of a tool I made, and it works great. I actually had seen a video on the tube I think by Model Railroader, and they were using a track alignment tool to curve or straighten the h.o. flex. I believe the tool was made by ME but I have not seen one for o scale, and even if I did I wouldn't want to pay for that soooo I made one from a scrap 2X4....time to make...2 minutes, time to curve the track about another 2 minutes....and it makes it very easy. I ended up making it a bit shorter than what you see in the video and it made it even easier....Take a look at it here. But again the ultimate credit needs to go to ME...what a great tool/idea.

Great video Chris! Thanks
I enjoyed the video Chris. I've experimented with roller bearings on wood to curve rail and it works too, your idea is fantastic for flex track!
Thanks guys, I was shocked at how easy it was.
Hi Chris...I've bent plenty of ME flex...in my case Code 125...and if I had seen your video like 10 years ago, I would have use the method for sure. There's no question that ME flex is quite resistant to being bent...and this quickie tool you've come up with will aid in making the task easier. Good going Buddy!

Boy, I wish this has been posted a while back.. a great idea and your video is very succinct.
Thanks guys! I love that it's cheap, quick and boy does it bend it quickly.
Nice!
Chris, Very good little tool! You could eliminate the sharpie by making two marks (or lines) one inch and 1/4 apart, and cutting to the outside of the marks. If you use a table saw you can control the depth of cut.

Very Nice Chris, Question is have you ever tried this on 3 rail track?
Great idea Chris. Maybe a quick write up for us?
I do something very similar but a secret I have learned with ME, is to wiggle the flex track just a little to loosen all of their simulated spike heads before trying to bend the flex. It doesn't take much just a little wiggle along the length of the track. Like your video thanks for taking the time to share, we ALL appreciate it. Russ

Thank you....a table saw would be the best but I don't own one I can actually set a depth limit on my miter saw but I eye balled it instead.

No I actually haven't...I still have a section or 2 of 3 rail left....I can make one and try it....I'll let you know.

Your welcome...it was fun to make.
Chris, awesome idea! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Mike...
Scary how efficiently that works. Thanks for posting.
Yes I was shocked. All I had ever heard was how difficult it is to bend the ME flex...and now...it's not so hard anymore.
