I am looking for a source for coal loads for the new LionScale AAR hoppers. Anyone know of a supplier? Thanks.

You can probably make your own loads. One of the SD3R members uses foam to fit, paints black layers coal and repeats

This is exactly what I do.
Shape the foam into mounds, paint it black with acrylic paint. When dry cover with white (Elmer's type) glue and sprinkle on the charcoal used for fish tank filters. May need a second coat in some areas.
Acrylic paint and water based white glue, solvent based products will melt the Styrofoam.
I've done the same with tan paint and a brown mica-like gravel that I found at the local 99 cent store
Or if you're so inclined, you can buy custom fit loads of real coal from DC hobby depot in Unionville, VA. About 9 bucks each. I am a very satisfied custome.
It appears you have a young son from your avatar. If so, making your own is a great project the two of you can do together. Cut some foam, lay down a base of a glue, stick it in a pile of coal or sprinkle on coal and repeat as necessary.

I had Don Kane make wood chip hopper loads for my Weaver Wodd chip hoppers.. He can make just about any kind of loadand for a reasonable price. He has made loads for the Lionel 65' mill gons for me and wood chip hopper loads for the four bay wood chip hoppers Lionel made. He has a website...... https://don195657.wixsite.com/oandsloads
He can only be reached at a home phone number. I believe when he retired he turned in his cell phone......Paul 2
Don Kane is the way to go. He has made many different kinds of loads for me. All perfect and reasonably priced.
