Hi All,
I need a strip of brass approx 1/32" thick and about 1" by 2.5'" with tread on one side. I probably have to buy a bigger piece. I need it for a pilot deck on a 2-8-0. Any ideas as to where I can find it?

Precision Scale sells a number of diamond plate patterns though the thickest is .025”. If you believe thicker is required you could solder some .010” plate to it.

On a cosmetic piece of that size, I would consider some glue or adhesive to hold it in place,
I know you inquired re brass, but I'm sure you know there's an alternative...
...which, when painted, should have the same appearance.
I thought I had an old piece of K&S brass tread kicking around, but I'm befuddled to find it in a pinch!...I'll keep looking, though. If it fits your criteria I'll post back.
